RIVER BIRCH BLOCK PARTY
(AND BEYOND!)
A forest of river birches and a variety of drainage infrastructure elements work in concert, forming a holistic stormwater management strategy (and creating a stunning display of fall color) for a row of homes in Clinton Hill. Field Form led or supported the design and construction for five of the seven neighboring gardens.

OUTFALL: EAST RIVER (BATTERY TO WARDS ISLAND)
Collaborating with multiple clients, landscape designers, and architects including Michael Cafiero and Studio Zewde, the Field Form team took a stormwater-focused approach to each property, transforming each separate but adjacent family spaces into a functional node – an active and purposeful part of a shared stormwater infrastructure.
Thirsty trees and grasses, gravel catchment areas, permeable paving, and diverted downspouts – all tied into a developer-installed detention tank – reduce the likelihood of flooding and provide peace of mind for residents.
